Woman accused of kicking toddler
TULSA (FOX 23) - Tulsa Police arrest a woman after a witness tells officers she kicked a three-year-old child down a stairwell and beat her with a belt.
Police were called to the Highland Park Apartments near East 47th Place and South Fulton Avenue around 7:00pm Saturday. A witness told officers 24-year-old Lashonda Cummings had kicked the toddler down the stairs and beat her before dragging the girl into an apartment.
Officers could hear the child crying and asked to be let in to the apartment. They found a three-year-old girl on the floor of the living room. The arrest report states the girl was shaking and bleeding from multiple cuts on her back. shoulders, arm and head.
Lashonda Cummings was arrested for child abuse and several other warrants. She is being held in the Tulsa County Jail on more than $100,000 bond.
