Boating accident victim found in Grand Lake
LANGLEY, Okla. (AP) - The body of a Jay man who had been missing since a boating accident on Grand Lake has been recovered.
Grand River Dam Authority officials say 39-year-old Monte Lee Price was pulled out of 50 feet of water in the Duck Creek arm of the lake about 2:15 p.m. Sunday.
GRDA officials say Price was one of four male passengers in a boat that collided with a breakwater structure about 2 a.m. Sunday. Price and two others were thrown from the boat.
Officials say two other passengers were flown by medical helicopter to Tulsa hospitals and another was transported to by ambulance. The names of the other passengers weren't released.
GRDA Police say none of the passengers were wearing life jackets.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
