Ann Romney, Laura Bush to attend fundraiser
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Former first lady Laura Bush will join Ann Romney for a private fundraiser in Oklahoma City for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Oklahoma Republican Party Chairman Matt Pinnell says the event will be held Monday night at the Oklahoma City home of Tom and Judy Love, the founders of Love's Travel Stops Country Stores.
The event begins at 5 p.m., and the cost to attend ranges from $1,000 to $25,000 per person.
Organizer Terry Neese says the fundraiser is one of only two nationwide that will be attended by the former first lady. She says she expects about 350 people to attend.
Neese, an Oklahoma City businesswoman, worked extensively with Bush through Neese's nonprofit Institute for the Economic Empowerment of Women.
