OU vs. Texas preview
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Bob Stoops and Mack Brown have led their teams into plenty of Red River Rivalry showdowns when it seemed like they were playing for all the marbles. This week, the Oklahoma-Texas game could be just about trying to keep up in the Big 12.
The loser of Saturday's game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas could wind up two games behind No. 5 West Virginia and No. 6 Kansas State in the standings.
Oklahoma cornerback Aaron Colvin says the Sooners (3-1, 1-1 Big 12) aren't thinking about being potentially eliminated from Big 12 contention by mid-October. He still thinks they're in the race for the national championship.
