Love triangle leads to stabbing
TULSA (FOX 23) - Tulsa police arrested a man for assault with a deadly weapon after a man was stabbed at his north Tulsa home.
Eric Jason Spears faces one count of assault with a deadly weapon. Police say they were called a home in the 800 block of north Gary Place and found a man with a stab wound to his torso.
According to the police report a witness told police the suspect showed up at the home and began kicking the victim’s car windows and the victim went outside. The witness says the men started shoving each other and the witness heard the victim yell, “Eric is trying to stab me!”
Police say the victim went back into the house and started vomiting blood and the stab wound in his torso was found and they called for help. Police say the witness told them she’d been dating both the suspect and the victim and had been out with the suspect earlier in the day and the victim had come to drive her home.
Police say Spears said the stabbing was in self defense.
