Hearing set for OK man accused of church rape
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A former worker at a Tulsa megachurch who's charged with raping a teenage girl in a campus stairwell is due in Tulsa County District Court.
Chris Denman is to appear in court Thursday.
He was arrested Sept. 5 on charges of raping a 13-year-old girl and molesting a 15-year-old girl at Victory Christian Center. He's also charged with making a lewd proposal to a child and using a computer to commit a sex crime involving a 12-year-old girl.
The 20-year-old Denman has pleaded not guilty to charges involving the older girls but has not yet pleaded on the other counts.
Police also say five other workers at the 17,000-member church waited two weeks before reporting the alleged rape. They have pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of failing to report.
