OU vs. Notre Dame Preview
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Garnering rare Heisman Trophy buzz as a linebacker, Notre Dame's Manti Te'o has certainly grabbed the attention of No. 8 Oklahoma.
Te'o averages about 10 tackles per game, and he has four interceptions and a fumble recovery this season for a Fighting Irish defense that ranks second in the nation in points allowed and sixth in yards allowed.
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says the assignment of blocking Te'o will go to ``whoever draws the unlucky straw.''
It could fall to Sooners fullback Trey Millard, who has developed from a blocker into one of the team's most versatile playmakers. Two weeks ago against Texas, Millard had a career-high 119 yards receiving with a touchdown. He also caught a touchdown pass against Kansas last week on a seam route.
