Police seek ID on Lincoln County slaying victim
WELLSTON, Okla. (AP) - The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is seeking help in identifying a murder victim whose body was found along a road near Wellston.
The agency on Thursday asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for assistance in uncovering the man's name.
The victim was found dead Wednesday night, and the body was sent to the medical examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Officials say the victim was a white male with a tattoo on each arm. The right arm is inked with three initials and the left arm has a symbol of a cross.
Authorities did not reveal how the man was killed.
