Ex-Skiatook superintendent pleads guilty
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a former Skiatook schools superintendent and an Oklahoma City businessman each have pleaded guilty to one conspiracy count over allegations that the school district was corruptly buying overpriced supplies.
Former superintendent Gary L. Johnson and businessman Rickey L. Enos entered their guilty pleas on Friday in Tulsa.
During the summer in state court, Johnson received a suspended 15-year sentence and was ordered to pay $657,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to taking $10,000 in cash bribes.
U.S. Attorney Danny C. Williams Sr. says Johnson and Enos face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine at their February sentencing.
Prosecutors say Enos charged as much as 400 percent above fair market value and Johnson paid the charges in exchange for cash and things of value.
