Authorities say man shot, killed in NE Oklahoma
LEACH, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says agents are looking into the shooting death of a man in northeastern Oklahoma.
The agency says 48-year-old William Alan Martin was shot and killed outside a home in the Delaware County town of Leach on Saturday. The OSBI says Martin was apparently checking on a relative when he was shot and killed by the home owner after confronting the home owner.
The agency says the home owner was not the relative that Martin was checking on but provided no other details about the shooting except to say that Delaware County authorities requested the OSBI investigation.
The OSBI says there have been no arrests in the case and declined to release the name of the homeowner who fired the fatal shot.
