Okla. highway re-opens after triple fatal crash
SAPULPA, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Mannford man and two Texans were killed in a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and a car just west of Sapulpa.
Troopers say 36-year-old Carmen Spicer of Mannford, 54-year-old Donald Clift of Amarillo, Texas, and 52-year-odl Jana Clift of Amarillo died in the crash about 12:15 p.m. Sunday.
The OHP says the collision occurred on Oklahoma Highway 33 when the westbound pickup driven by Spicer crossed the center line and collided head-on with the eastbound car driven by Donald Clift in which Jana Clift was a passenger.
A report on the crash says it wasn't immediately known why Spicer's truck crossed the center line.
The highway was closed for about two-and-a-half hours after the crash until the wreckage was cleared from the roadway.
