Republicans elect Okla. Senate leadership team
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Republicans in the Oklahoma state Senate have selected their leadership team for the coming legislative session.
Senate President Pro Tem Sen. Brian Bingman of Sapulpa was selected to again serve as president pro tem of the Senate. He had no opposition and is expected to be officially re-elected to the post on Senate Organizational Day on Jan. 8.
Bingman has selected Sen. Mike Schultz of Altus to continue as Majority Floor Leader for the session.
Republicans will hold a 36-12 majority in the Senate when the legislative session officially begins in February.
