No. 14 Sooners, No. 22 Cowboys gear up for Bedlam
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) The Big 12 title could be back in play in the Bedlam rivalry, and that's only a touch of the sizzle as No. 14 Oklahoma gets ready to host No. 22 Oklahoma State.
After two months of keeping his starting quarterback a secret, coach Mike Gundy announced that Clint Chelf would get the call against the Sooners although he noted that J.W. Walsh and Wes Lunt have both been cleared to play after knee injuries.
Walsh even played Saturday in a short-yardage running formation that's the Oklahoma State equivalent of Oklahoma's ``Belldozer'' package using backup quarterback Blake Bell.
The Sooners (8-2, 6-1 Big 12) can't afford to breathe a sigh of relief after giving up a school-record 778 yards in a 50-49 win over West Virginia, with Oklahoma State (7-3, 5-2) boasting the league's best ground game.
