Muskogee school bus involved in wreck
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A Muskogee school bus carrying 16 8- to 10-year-olds to a Special Olympics swimming event was involved in a three-vehicle collision in south Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Betsy Randolph says none of the students or two adults on the bus were injured when the bus was ``clipped'' in the rear by a tractor-trailer rig on westbound Interstate 240 near the I-35 interchange Wednesday afternoon. Randolph says the driver of the rig suffered a cut to his hand and a possible shoulder injury.
No names were released.
Assistant Muskogee school district Superintendent Jim Wilson says the bus was carrying the students to the event in Oklahoma City and the students were taken to a local motel where they had already planned to spend the night.
