Crews searching Oklahoma lake for missing boater
GROVE, Okla. (AP) - Crews are searching Grand Lake in northeast Oklahoma for a Missouri man who was last seen boating on Sunday.
The Grand River Dam Authority police say stormy weather delayed their search Tuesday for 40-year-old Michael Shane Chapman of Joplin, Mo. Spokesman Justin Alberty says Chapman has been missing since Sunday and that his boat was recovered near the Sail Boat Bridge area on Monday afternoon.
The Miami News Record reports (http://is.gd/RNxOcy) that crews used helicopters and boats in the search for Chapman. Alberty says search crews have been combing a 10-square-mile area from Sail Boat Bridge to Patricia Island and the East Bay area.
