6 new deaths due to flu reported in Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports six new deaths due to the flu.
The department said Thursday that there have now been 23 flu-related deaths in Oklahoma.
The department reports that Tulsa County has had the most flu-related deaths with six, followed by three in both Oklahoma and Comanche counties and two in Pittsburg County.
Single deaths have been reported in Blaine, Cleveland, Creek, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Rogers, Stephens and Washington counties.
The health department says those 65 and older have been hit hardest by the flu with 18 of the 23 who have died being 65 or older.
