Oklahoma picked to win Big 12 baseball title
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The University of Oklahoma is the preseason pick to win the Big 12 baseball title in a poll of coaches of conference teams.
OU received six of nine first place votes and 62 points to finish ahead of No. 2 pick TCU. The Horned Frogs received the other three first place ballots and 55 points in the poll in which coaches are not allowed to vote for their teams.
Oklahoma State is picked to finish fifth in the conference race.
Texas is picked to finish third behind OU and TCU with Baylor picked fourth.
Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Kansas and West Virginia are picked fifth through ninth in the poll.
