NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Police in Norman say a body has been found by firefighters responding to a fire at a home on the city's east side.

Capt. Tom Easley says the fire was reported about 11 a.m. Wednesday and the body was found after the flames were extinguished.

The person's name has not been released and Easley declined to say whether the victim is a man or woman or whether foul play is suspected. A fire department spokesman did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
