Hearing rescheduled in OSU sex assault case
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - A hearing scheduled in Stillwater for a former Oklahoma State University student charged with sexual battery of fellow students has been rescheduled.
Nathan Cochran was due in Payne County District Court Monday in the case that alleges he molested other students as they slept in dorm rooms.
The hearing was rescheduled for April 1.
Cochran's pleaded not guilty.
OSU officials were criticized for not notifying police when they learned of the allegations in November. Stillwater police say they first learned of the allegations in December when contacted by the OSU student newspaper.
The Board of Regents that oversees OSU voted Friday to adopt recommendations from a task force that examined OSU's response to the allegations. They included promptly notifying authorities of any allegations of sexual assault.
