Hilberling found guilty
TULSA (KFAQ) - A Tulsa woman has been found guilty of 2nd degree murder in death of her husband who fell from their 25th floor apartment in 2011.
The jury deliberated less than 3 hours before returning the verdict against 21-year-old Amber Hilberling.
Hilberling testified last week that she pushed her husband in self-defense. Joshua Hilberling died after he fell through the glass window and landed on a parking garage 17 floors below.
Prosecutors allege that Amber Hilberling intentionally shoved her husband because she was angry that he was about to leave her. Defense attorneys say the death was a ``tragic accident'' and that Amber Hilberling never intended to kill her husband.
A window consultant testified for the defense that the apartment's windows were ``unusually thin.''
The jury recommended a 25 year prison sentence.
