Here are some of the things we discussed on The Pat Campbell Show today.
Administrator Pruitt is in Oklahoma for his State Action Tour. He has spent the last few weeks and will continue throughout August visiting states across the country, to hear directly from citizens, stakeholders, Governors and leaders how EPA can partner with the states to achieve environmental stewardship.
The focus of discussions in Oklahoma will be on the 'Waters of the United States' Rule (WOTUS)
Administrator Pruitt will travel to the Oklahoma panhandle on Thursday to see firsthand the devastating effects this rule has on rural America.
He will also have a meeting to receive input from Governor Fallin, DEQ, Sec. of Ag and Sec. of Environment on Friday. State Action Tour stops completed: Utah, Minnesota, Arkansas, South Carolina
This all goes hand-in-hand with the new EPA's Back to Basics agenda: bringing the agency back to its core mission.
Back to Basics Agenda:
Focusing our efforts on ways to be good stewards of our natural resources.
Ensuring our air, land and water are protected, without placing unnecessary burden/harm on Americans
Regulatory certainty: Administrator Pruitt has taken nearly 30 significant regulatory actions since beginning this role (WOTUS, CPP, CRR, CAFE standards etc)What environmental savior?
What did the past administration do to protect the environment?
You can be a conservative and care about the environment.
