Amazon is expanding so they can try to offer something that most companies can only dream of: same-day delivery.
The company is opening up new warehouses in California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, and other cities.
Amazon has to start charging sales tax in some states, which may end up hurting their price advantage. Faster delivery could help that.
Analysts aren't sure if same-day delivery will work out because it's super expensive and only some locations would be able to benefit from same-day delivery.
