An area of high pressure has built up over the region resulting in a lot of sunshine and not much wind to speak of. Highs today in Tulsa were in the upper 60s, which is below the average for this time of year. The average now stands at 72°.
However, high pressure is going to be sliding east, which will allow south winds to return across Green Country. This will propel our highs into the mid to the upper 70s Saturday and then low 80s Sunday afternoon.
Computer weather models are still suggesting we could see an increase of rain showers and thunderstorms overnight Tuesday through Wednesday as a weak system moves through. We will keep you posted on-air and online.Read full story
