VIDEO: Woman catches strangers snooping around home

TULSA -- A midtown woman caught strangers snooping around her house at night.

The homeowner, Krystyna, said, “I definitely feel violated, uncomfortable . . . They come up to the front porch. They’re having conversation and they notice the camera and then they still go about their business and pretend as if they’re actually residents of this home.”

It happened after 1 a.m. about a month ago. After a few seconds, surveillance video shows the two leaving. But it was just long enough to make Krystyna worried.

She said, “It’s actually a little alarming that people feel that they can be so comfortable when they’re on somebody else’s property. They don’t know what type of person they’re going to walk up on.”

Then, weeks later, she sees a man riding a bike around her backyard after 3 a.m.

We showed the videos to Krystyna’s neighbor, Lenora, who was just as shocked.

She suggested, “Maybe they just think they’re at someone’s house and they realize they’re not. Or why would he have ridden around in the backyard? That is a little odd.”

Lenora has her theories. She added, “Could they have been using their front porch light? Just sitting out there and . . . I don’t know, it’s just weird.”

Whatever the reason, the neighbor thinks it’s not OK. Lenora said, “If someone comes onto my property, they will regret it.”

Now that they’ve seen the video, neighbors say they’ll keep their eyes open.

Krystyna said, “Everybody in this neighborhood, in Peoria Gardens, really should be looking out for each other.”
