Oklahoma State Auditor Gary Jones who is running as a Republican for Governor of Oklahoma unveiled his plan to increase taxes. You read that right INCREASE TAXES! Gary who is currently at 3% in the polls has found a way to go lower. I'm convinced he is after that 6th place trophy! Listen to this unbelievable exchange I had with him this morning on TALK RADIO 1170.
Jones' plan would raise an estimated $542 million a year by hiking taxes on cigarettes, oil and gas production, motor fuels and renewable energy. He is the only Republican gubernatorial candidate to endorse tax hikes. Most, including Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb, Tulsa attorney Gary Richardson and Tulsa businessman Kevin Stitt, have come out against the tax provisions of the Step Up Oklahoma package. LINK
