Medical Marijuana Set to be Legalized in Utah and Oklahoma

Utah and Oklahoma are expected legalize medical marijuana this November. 77 percent of voters in Utah and 62 percent in Oklahoma support the legalization of medical marijuana.

If the ballot measures are passed, the states will join the 30 others that have already legalized the drug. Other conservative states including South Dakota and Missouri are also considering medical marijuana laws.

A 2017 poll from the Pew Research Center found that 61 percent of Americans support legalizing marijuana. 90 percent of Americans support legalizing marijuana for medical use.

Five states including Kentucky, South Dakota and Missouri are considering legalizing the drug for medical use. At least four states including Delaware and Ohio are considering legalizing recreational marijuana.
