| | City Councilor Chris Medlock Speaks At Town Hall Meeting

(KFAQ) - Tulsans gathered on the plaza downtown on Septemer 29, 2004, to hear city councilors giving their "State of the City" address.
The councilors, led by Chris Medlock, responded to comments made recently by Tulsa Chamber of Commerce President Bob Poe and Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune. Poe and LaFortune had blasted four of the councilors for a lack of unity.
In addition to Medlock, city councilors Roscoe Turner, Jack Henderson and Jim Mautino also spoke. The four, in addition to councilor Sam Roop, have been labeled as "The Gang of Five" by factions in the city who are upset with questions the councilors have been asking about the way the city is operated.
The turnout of supporters for the councilors was so large, the meeting had to be moved outdoors onto the plaza, instead of in the Central Library as was earlier planned.
