Brian Gann
Brian Gann is KFAQ's Director of Programming and News.
Brian first came to work at AM 1170 in January of 1991. In fact, he'll never forget his first day on the job. U.S. Troops had just started dropping bombs over Baghdad. The first day of Desert Storm was Brian's first day at the radio station.
Prior to coming to KFAQ, Brian had worked at several stations in Texas and Missouri. Among the most memorable stories Brian has covered are the Oklahoma City Bombing, a federal seige of a para-military compound in northwest Arkansas and the flooding along the Mississippi River in the early 90's, in addition to extensive anchoring of the aftermath of 9/11.
Brian has received many awards, including twice being honored with the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio-Television News Director's Association for "Best Newscast" in the nation!
Brian is a past president of the Oklahoma Associated Press Broadcasters and is a member of the Radio-Television News Director's Association. He is the past state coordinator for the R.T.N.D.A.
Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, Billi, and his two sons, Jonathan and Jacob.
You can hear Brian anchoring the news whenever major news stories are breaking or severe weather is threatening Oklahoma.
